The contact's boyfriend owned a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while her boyfriend was driving 60 MPH, the transmission downshifted unintendedly, and the vehicle jerked, causing the contact's boyfriend to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle crashed into the rear of another occupied vehicle. The contact was unsure whether the air bags were deployed. The ambulance transported the contact and the other driver to the hospital, where it was confirmed that no major injuries were sustained and both drivers were checked out of the hospital. The contact stated that both her boyfriend and the other driver sustained body pain. Both vehicles were towed and totaled. A police report was filed.
