On 01 February 2025, my 2024 Ford Maverick XLT was involved in a front-end collision where two critical safety systems failed: 1.Airbag System Failure: The airbags did not deploy despite a significant front-end impact. This component is still available for inspection upon request. 2.Forward Collision Sensor Malfunction: The front collision sensor system failed to detect the obstacle and did not engage automatic braking, which contributed to the severity of the crash. This system is also available for inspection. Safety Risk: Due to these failures, my wife was hit in the chest by the force of the impact, and our dog was thrown inside the vehicle. My wife may have sustained internal injuries or bruising as a result. The failure of both the airbag system and collision avoidance system put our safety at serious risk. Problem Confirmation: The issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer or service center because my insurance company (Progressive) is scheduled to inspect the vehicle on Monday.
