I was in stop and go traffic on a side road. I was traveling about 5-15 mph on an uneven road surface. The traffic stopped in front of me and I applied my brakes. I heard the grinding sound of the anti-lock brakes but my car did not stop. My foot was to the ground on the brake and it didnât even slow down. I ended up hitting the car in front of me. This has happened before but I never hit anything before. It happens all of the time on uneven road surfaces such as man hole covered, rail road crossings, or construction or potholes.
