The contact owned a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the contactâs wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle's speed was about 30 MPH. The contact stated the vehicle drove across the grass of the neighbor's yard, which was located directly across from the contactâs home. The vehicle crashed into the neighbor's parked vehicle, which was parked in the neighbor's driveway. The vehicle then went into an embankment and into a little ditch. The contact stated that the vehicle came out of the ditch and into the street sideways. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The neighbor's vehicle was condemned as a total loss. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 66,500.
