Narrative

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Driver assist systems, including lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance/braking system, and related exterior sensor systems, are malfunctioning. The lane assist system has taken unintended control of steering, and the braking system has activated without cause. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle has exhibited unintended braking and steering intervention during normal driving conditions. Most recently, the lane assist system abruptly jerked the steering wheel while passing a side road opening, forcing the vehicle into a curb and causing damage. These unpredictable actions create a high risk of collision, loss of vehicle control, or being struck by other vehicles, especially in active traffic conditions. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The vehicle was brought to the dealership for inspection; however, the issues were not reproduced during testing. Testing occurred under dry weather conditions, while the malfunctions primarily occur in wet, cold, snowy, or icy conditions. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Genesis dealership service department.
