The contact owned a 2017 Ford F150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (POWER TRAIN). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH on a country road, the vehicle independently veered to the right, went down a ditch, and hit a tree. Both driver-side and front passenger-side air bags were deployed. The contact sustained minor injuries, a bruise on the left arm below the elbow, a small bump on the forehead, and lower back pain.
