VEHICLE CUSTOMIZING AND MODIFICATION SHOULD BE LEFT TO THE PROFESSIONAL DESIGNERS AT THE WORLDS AUTO MAKERS. THE STANDARDS FOR CRUMPLE ZONES IN FRONT IMPACT COLLISIONS ARE IN PLACE TO HELP KEEP ALL VEHICLE OPERATORS SAFE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. STATISTICS HAVE BEEN RECORDED AND THE FIGURES OBSERVED FOR MANY DECADES, BEFORE FINALLY THESE TYPES OF TESTING AND SUBSEQUENT DESIGN MODIFICATIONS CAN BE MADE IN ADVANCE OF ANY VEHICLE PRODUCTION. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS SPECIFIC MANUFACTURING REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE ADHERED TO BEFORE AN ANY AUTO MAKERS NEWEST MODELS CAN DEBUT IN THE AMERICAN CAR MARKET. WHY THEN CAN INDEPENDENT CUSTOM  AUTO SHOPS AND CAR OWNERS BE ALLOWED TO ALTER THE FRONTS OF VEHICLES. MOSTLY WITH LARGE, HEAVY, STEEL, BARS BOTH VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL WITHOUT MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY SUPERVISION, SAFETY INSPECTION, OR REGARD FOR SAFETY STANDARDS AND ATTACH THEM TO THE FRONT OF ANY VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY THE HEAVIEST AND LARGEST BEHEMOTHS ON THE ROADS TODAY? ON 1/9/04 I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WITH AN SUV WHOSE OWNER HAD CUSTOMIZED THE FRONT OF HIS VEHICLE WITH A THICK, HEAVY, STEEL DEVICE WHICH AT 35MPH DEFLECTED THE MASS AND VELOCITY OF THE VEHICLES FORCE INTO ME RATHER THEN ABSORBING THE ENERGY. WHAT GOOD ARE SAFETY COLLISION TESTS AND ABSORPTION RATES WHEN THE PUBLIC CAN RECKLESSLY AND DANGEROUSLY ALTER THE DESIGN OF VEHICLE FRONTS WITH THESE DEVICES? SURELY, THESE BRUSH BAR WEAPONS CAN BE ADDED TO THE LIST OF EQUIPMENT FOR VEHICLE IN
