Narrative

On Friday, April 17, 2015, at approximately 3:45 PM, a machinist was operating a lathe and grinding attachment to smooth a rubber roller. The employee was checking the roller thickness when his left thumb was pulled into the grinder. The employee sustained an amputation of the fingertip of his left thumb.
