Narrative

On 5/6/2015, an employee received chemical burns to his right thigh while he was transferring hydrofluoric acid from a 55-gallon drum to a 5-gallon portable container. He used a siphon pump to transfer the acid. The pump had an undetected cut in the hose, which caused the acid to spray on to the employee's leg. He was hospitalized.
