An employee was punching holes and stacking a floor stringer. The packaging process was to flip every other piece onto the previous piece using the overhead crane. The employee tried to increase production by flipping the parts by hand instead of using the crane. One piece fell on his finger, stripping the flesh and nail from his fingertip and leaving the bone.
