On August 06, 2015, at approximately 9:15 p.m. the team member was setting-up draw machine #5 (Morgan) for a double draw job (7/32 rod to W2.1). The process is to place the first draw under the bull block and the second draw on the upper section of the bull block. The machine was in jog mode while performing the task. An employee had the wire set on the bottom (first draw) and he was in the process of stringing the second draw. The employee noticed that the first bottom wrap was not in place. The employee stopped jogging and shook the wire with his right hand to locate the first wrap in place. While on this task, the employee stepped on the jog pedal as the wire snapped pulling his fingers against the block. The tip of his right middle and ring fingers were amputated. Employee was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.
