Narrative

An employee was lifting a 70 lb. section of metal duct that needed to be welded to a ship bulkhead that was under construction. The metal duct slipped from the employee's hands and his left index finger was pinched between the metal duct and an I-beam flange. The employee's left index finger was amputated by the emergency room doctor.
