Narrative

An employee was changing a viber plate on a mini-excavator and aligning the shim when the driver in the cab accidentally bumped the lever, causing the arm of the machine to pinch the employee's thumb. The employee's thumb tip was amputated and thumb bone was smashed, requiring hospitalization.
