Employees were installing a fiber optic cable along a rural roadway and were cleaning up the site at the end of the day when a vehicle approached the work site, left the road, and traveled through the ditch, striking two employees. The first employee suffered lacerations and contusions, while the other suffered a fractured leg. Both were hospitalized.
