Narrative

An employee was attempting to move a tool, described as a tool to assemble/disassemble generators, from a storage shelf to the floor with the assistance of a second employee. While moving the tool, the employee's right thumb was caught in a movable bracket. The employee was wearing cut resistant gloves; however, when the bracket pinched his thumb he jerked his hand and tore skin from the end of the thumb. The employee's thumb tip and finger nail were amputated.
