At 8:00 p.m., on 5/08/2017, an employee was working on a production line when he attempted to help another employee unjam a spin trimmer machine. While removing product from the machine, he came into contact with the heated knife blade, lacerating his left middle finger between the base of the hand and his first knuckle. He was hospitalized and had surgery.
