On July 19, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., an employee experienced dizziness, cramping, and nausea, during the delivery of mail on his route. The employee was hospitalized for acute kidney failure and heat exhaustion. The heat index at the time of the incident was 90 degrees.
