Narrative

An employee was attempting to place a core plug onto a core of newly slit paper when the plug fell onto a running conveyor belt. As he attempted to retrieve the plug, the belt caught his finger and drew it into a pinch point, amputating his left middle fingertip to the first major knuckle.
