A piece of wood was jammed in the panel saw. The injured employee was sweeping in the area and went over to assist with the jam. The employee reached into the blade to pull the piece of jammed wood out and cut his finger on the saw blade resulting in a partial amputation of the pinky finger. The e-stop was pushed prior to the employee's hand entering the saw, but the blade was still running from residual force.
