Narrative

An employee was using a slider table saw to cut a narrow piece of wood off when the narrow scrap piece fell between the blade and the table. As he attempted to retrieve the scrap, his left middle finger contacted the blade, amputating the fingertip (no bone). The saw was guarded and running at the time.
