Narrative

An employee was modifying the scoreboard at a stadium. The employee was attempting to re-spool the cable on the drum of the hoist. He was guiding the cable with his left hand and operating the hoist by the pendant remote with his right hand. His glove was caught on the cable and the cable pulled his hand into the hoist resulting in the amputation of the right index finger and an avulsion injury to a second finger.
