An employee was positioning a main cylinder on the back of a truck. The cylinder has a hole in it that is to line up with a hole on the back of the truck. Once lined up, a pin is to be inserted to hold the cylinder in place. A pry bar is used to help keep the cylinder straight and prevent bowing.
The employee used a finger to see if the holes lined up. The pry bar moved and the employee's finger was pinched in the opening where the pin should go. The employee sustained a fingertip injury that required surgery and hospitalization.
