Narrative

An employee was troubleshooting an ammunition handle box press machine. He was attempting to use a pair of plyers to remove a stuck part in the die when his right hand was caught between the upper die and the stripper sensor. He sustained a laceration and fracture to the fifth metacarpal on his right hand. The press was running and unguarded at the time of the incident.
