Narrative

An employee was in a trench cleaning soil off of the water line in preparation for a connection. The trench collapsed along with the soil pile that was approximately one foot from the edge of the trench. The employee was completely covered with soil and was hospitalized for a broken jaw and lacerations to the ear and right arm.
