On October 24, 2019, a forklift operator picked up two pieces of granite slabs using a lifter that was attached to a forklift truck. The two slabs weighed approximately 3,421 pounds. The injured employee had his hand on the two granite slabs while the forklift operator was moving them into position to place them on a truck. The injured employee was on the left side of the forklift when the two slabs shifted. The employee moved under the mast of the forklift and the front left tire ran over the employee's leg.
