Narrative

A crew was exposing a new water line looking for a leak. A trench was excavated near the pipe with a compact excavator, and an employee was exposing the pipe with a shovel. A piece of dirt from the top of the trench fell on the back of his legs and he suffered a pelvic fracture. The trench was approximately 4.5 feet deep.
