Narrative

A seven-employee crew was removing a 100-foot poplar tree. The crown was cut off and the employee on the tip line (which controls the direction of the tree limbs, keeping them away from power lines) was signaled to begin pulling. The tree limb that the tip line was attached to broke free and struck the employee's torso.
