Narrative

An employee was performing scheduled maintenance on the side seal heater section of a filler. He was manually moving the heater bars back and forth when the cylinder engaged and retracted back from a closed position, pinching his finger between the heat bar and the frame of the sealer. He sustained an amputation to a finger.
