On February 10, 2021, an employee was performing preventative maintenance on a mail machine and removed the bottom panel. As he knelt down to retrieve mail that had fallen out of the machine, his knee gave out, causing his hand to come into contact with the machine and resulting in an amputation to the right index finger just below the first knuckle.
