Narrative

The injured employee was rigging boring machine tracks. A chain was used to lift and reposition the tracks. While the tracks were suspended, the boring machine operator went to boom up and the injured employee's left thumb was caught between the tracks and the rigging chain, resulting in a partial left thumb amputation.
