An employee was in a trash chute removing jammed plastic. The chute had been lifted with a chain fall and was being held in place with a nylon chocker strap. When the plastic was removed, the chute dropped about 3 inches and a sharp object cut the strap, causing the chute fall another 3 feet. The employee's right leg was broken above the ankle.
