Narrative

An employee was helping secure bridge beams that were being set when a beam broke. Concrete pieces of the beam fell and one piece struck the employee, knocking him off the column he was standing on. The employee was wearing a harness and his lanyard deployed, curtailing the fall. The employee swung back into the column, resulting in a fractured rib and lacerated spleen.
