An employee was using an overhead crane with a 5-ton capacity to load a bundle of seven stone slabs, weighing about 5,000 pounds, onto an A-frame flatbed trailer. The employee began to remove the load straps. Once they were removed from one side, the load began to fall toward the employee and pushed him off the truck deck to the concrete landing about 4 feet below. His right hip and shoulder struck the ground and he suffered a broken right femur.
