An employee was using an electric pallet jack to pull a pallet. The employee was operating the pallet jack with his right hand and started to turn his body so he could use the pallet jack to push the pallet into position. The pallet jack did not stop and continued to travel toward the employee, causing his right foot to become pinned under the pallet jack. The employee attempted to push the pallet jack off his foot when he fell on the floor. The employee suffered nerve damage, torn tendons, and arterial damage in his right foot and ankle, requiring hospitalization and surgery.
