Narrative

An employee was helping to unload a box truck using a forklift. The box truck was parked on the very bottom of the outside loading dock. The employee drove the forklift down the loading dock approximately 25 feet and was waiting on the box truck driver to adjust a pallet of screws/nails at the back of the truck to allow the forklift forks to reach the pallet. The employee exited the forklift to help the driver adjust the pallet. As soon as the employee started to walk between the forklift and the box truck, the forklift started to roll down the hill approximately 10 feet, pinning the employee between the forklift and the box truck. The employee was hospitalized for a fractured pelvis.
