An employee had worked a shift with a work crew on a highway reconstruction project. During the shift, the employees took turns operating a chipping hammer for 10-20 minutes at a time. The employee also used a shovel to remove debris from the area. Toward the end of the shift, the employee experienced symptoms of heat-related illness and was hospitalized.
