Narrative

A derrickman was positioned in a rod basket to remove a rod elevator. After doing so, the employee began wiping the rod with a rag and the rag became entangled around the rod. The employee's glove was caught in the rag, resulting in a degloving injury that resulted in medical amputation of the left little finger.
