An employee was repairing a metal roof when he stepped onto a piece of 2-by-4 lumber that was temporarily nailed in place. The employee fell approximately 25 feet through the roof framing to the ground, sustaining a fractured wrist, cheek bone, and pelvis. A fall harness was not worn at the time.
