Narrative

An employee was cutting a failed carrier rope on a through air dryer (TAD) when his hand became caught in the ropes. As the employee went to free his hand, his other hand became caught and the ropes/machine continued to move. The employee sustained amputations of four fingers on his left hand and three fingers on his right hand.
