Narrative

On February 28, 2023, an employee was securing a piece of cargo on a bulk carrier ship with chain slings when the plate that holds the D-ring in place failed and struck him in the left side of his face and forehead. The employee sustained a laceration to the left side of his forehead, and a laceration to the left side of his nose.
