Narrative

An employee was cleaning sawdust from a machine when a wood chip lodged in the vacuum dust collection system and caused it to stop. When the wood chip broke loose, the dust collection system restarted, causing a piece of wood to contact the employee's left hand. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured left thumb and a laceration.
