Narrative

On March 29, 2023, an employee was conducting maintenance on an upcut saw whose blade would not come up. He de-energized the saw and while the blade was slowing down, his left ring finger was caught between the pulley and belt inside the saw. The employee sustained an amputation to the finger without bone loss.
