Fractures

On June 7, 2023, at 10:00 PM, an employee was attempting to identify an operational issue with a rubber biomass boiler conveyor and the scraper on the bottom of the conveyor. Power to the conveyor was shut off and he removed a metal guard and set it down on a nearby catwalk. The employee tripped and braced himself on a nearby bearing housing. The bearing housing shifted when power to the conveyor was lost and the employee's right hand was pinched between the conveyor enclosure and the bearing housing, resulting in fractures to his wrist and a compound fracture of the first finger.
