Narrative

On June 7, 2023, an employee was welding a brace on the end of a 45-foot long bridge pylon/pile. The bucket of an excavator rotated and struck the bridge pylon/pile, causing the employee to be struck in the chest by the pylon/pile. The employee was hospitalized with five broken ribs and a punctured lung.
