Narrative

An employee was setting up trench boxes for a sewer construction job. While unhooking the chain from a trench box that had been lowered into the ground, his right thumb was crushed between the chain and the trench box. The employee was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery for a partial amputation to his right thumb.
