Narrative

An employee was using a crane with a magnet to turn over a steel plate measuring 7 feet by 4 feet and 1 1/4 inches thick. As the steel plate reached a vertical position, it fell from the magnet. The employee attempted to grab it, and the steel plate contacted their right hand. The ring finger's proximal phalanx was fractured and displaced with rotation and had a laceration. The little finger's proximal phalanx was fractured but not displaced.
