An employee was installing electrical fixtures in a breakroom from a 6-foot step ladder. When the fixtures didn't work, he began inspecting the circuit with a meter and contacted a hot wire. The employee suffered an electric shock and burns to his left hand, requiring hospitalization and skin grafts. He also fell off the ladder in an attempt to free himself from the wire that shocked him.
