Narrative

An employee was forming a sidewalk and using a circular hand saw to trim excess wood from a piece of plywood to fit the form. As he was cutting a piece of plywood, the wood binded and kicked back, pushing the blade toward the employee. His left thumb was amputated at the proximal phalanx.
