An employee was assisting a boat owner with moving/pulling the owner s boat closer to a diesel dispenser for fueling. A gust of wind pushed the boat away from the dock while the employee was tying a line to a cleat to secure the front of the boat to the dock. His thumb became caught between the line and the cleat causing an amputation to the thumb.
