An employee was inside a docked barge cutting the rudder. Another employee was on the deck of the barge cutting the decking above and during the cut, the barge piece broke off and the employee below was crushed and sustained multiple injuries requiring hospitalization. The piece of the barge that fell was 20 feet, 4 inches x 10 feet, 4 inches.
